Our Goals

Our Goals are:

1. Aware the public of violence in the media today.

2. Make a booklet to help accomplish goal number 1.

3. Raise money for HomeFree Shelter.


With your help, we can accomplish all of these goals. Get involved and be peaceful!

Where are we donating to?

As we metioned in our section about what we're doing and who we are, ALL of our donations we recieve will be going to HomeFree shelter. HomeFree is an organization for battered women and children. They have to leave everything else behind and in some cases, probably have to flee on a moments notice. HomeFree is a Shelter for the battered women and children and in HomeFree, they will be safe from any harm that their abuser might try to do to them. HomeFree will usally give them a home for about 45 days, but in other cases, more serious actions will be taken. In HomeFree, they have classes and activities for the women and children that are currently there. Now, obviously, they need money to make this organization, and it's plan for success work, but what a lot of people don't realize is that they can use many other things that aren't money, but would still help them tremendously. Some examples of these are: Gift Cards to places like Cub Foods, or Rainbow Foods. They do also accept checks and money donations. Publicity

The 6th grade class of Mr. Greener is getting more publicity by the minute. We were recently on Ch. 12 local news as one of the top stories. We are going to be on WCCO Radio on May 18th!
We have received letters back from Senators and Congressmen! We just recieved over 30,000.00 dollars from an advertising company, next media, unfortuntaly we can not add this to our sponser money because it's not going to HomeFree, but it's still a great oppurtunity to aware the public which is one of our 3 goals,(see the,"our goals" section.)
It will be advertised in mens and womens restrooms from June to August in over 50 places! We are also in the Star Tribune!
We are on the front page of the second section of the may 11th edition of the Osseo-Maple Grove Press, and a whole page story by the Pioneer Press! I'm sure that this is only the beginning to all the publicity that this project can and will get. We will keep you updated, so stay tuned!
